History
The Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, West Virginia, Pete Dye's 1994 self-named design on a former coal-mining site, transformed a scarred industrial landscape into one of the most dramatic and demanding courses in Appalachia. Dye created the course on reclaimed strip-mining terrain, using dramatic elevation changes and exposed rock faces to create breathtaking visual encounters. The course's combination of extreme length, bold water hazards, and Dye's trademark railroad ties and sod-wall bunkers create an experience of overwhelming difficulty. It has hosted the Senior Players Championship on multiple occasions.
