TPC Louisiana
History
TPC Louisiana was designed by master architect Pete Dye in collaboration with PGA Tour players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson — the latter a New Orleans native — and opened in 2004 just 15 miles west of New Orleans in Avondale along the Mississippi River Delta. Dye brought his signature elements of dramatic elevation changes, bold bunkering, and strategic water play to 250 acres of Louisiana marshland, creating a course that rewards shot-making and penalizes recklessness. The par-72 layout stretches 7,425 yards from the PGA Tour tees and plays host to the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the Tour's only team event, since 2004. The course is open to the public and is part of the Audubon Golf Trail, offering access to one of the South's most impressive golf experiences. Dye's design features wide, undulating fairways with strategically placed bunkers, large Bermuda grass greens, and the dramatic moisture of the bayou environment throughout.
