History

Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minnesota, was Donald Ross's 1921 renovation of Willie Watson's original 1909 layout. The course is forever linked to Bobby Jones, who played the famous Lily Pad Shot on the 9th hole during his 1930 Grand Slam — where his ball skipped across water to set up a birdie and preserve his lead en route to the U.S. Open title. The park-like setting with Interlachen Lake creates a beautiful backdrop. The 2008 U.S. Women's Open, won by Inbee Park in a memorable finish, brought Interlachen renewed attention.
