History

The Honors Course, Pete Dye's 1983 design in the Tennessee foothills outside Chattanooga, was specifically created to honor the traditions of amateur golf. The club hosts the NCAA Men's and Women's Golf Championships and emphasizes a pure golf experience built around the game's essentials. Dye designed the course through spectacular rolling terrain with dramatic elevation changes, mature hardwood forests, and significant water features. Its long par-4s and demanding finish — three consecutive challenging holes — have regularly produced memorable collegiate and amateur championships.
