History

TPC Southwind was designed by Ron Prichard with input from PGA Tour players Hubert Green and Fuzzy Zoeller and opened in 1988 within the gated lifestyle community of Southwind in southeast Memphis. It is the PGA Tour's only private golf club in Tennessee. The par-70, 7,244-yard layout is a demanding stadium-style course with strategic water features, demanding Zoysia fairways, and fast, undulating greens. Southwind has served as the permanent home of professional tour golf in Memphis since 1989, hosting the St. Jude Classic for decades before the event was elevated to a WGC event (WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational) in 2019 and then to a Signature Event (FedEx St. Jude Championship) as part of the FedExCup Playoffs. The demanding course plays alongside Nonconnah Creek and features multiple risk-reward par fours that consistently challenge the world's best players during the late-summer playoff push.

Signature Hole
