TPC Michigan
History
TPC Michigan is an ultra-exclusive private championship golf club opened in 1990 in Dearborn, Michigan, on land donated by Ford Motor Company, located just two miles from Ford World Headquarters. The 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus — one of only a handful of Nicklaus Signature designs in the TPC Network — and features the Golden Bear's characteristic strategic bunkering, dramatic mounding, and demanding green complexes within a parkland setting. TPC Michigan served as the host of the Ford Senior Players Championship (now the Senior PGA Championship) on the PGA Tour Champions, and multiple other senior tour events during the 1990s and 2000s, leveraging its Motor City prestige and Ford corporate sponsorship. The club was sold to Heritage Golf Group in 2007 and later transitioned to Invited Clubs, but continues to operate under the TPC Network brand. It remains one of the premier private golf experiences in metropolitan Detroit, offering casual and upscale dining alongside championship-caliber golf.
