History
Medinah Country Club's Course No. 3, opened in 1928 amid the cathedral oaks and maples of Chicago's western suburbs, has been the site of some of professional golf's most dramatic moments. Tiger Woods won three championships here — the 1999 and 2006 PGA Championships and the 2000 U.S. Open. But the course is equally remembered for the Miracle at Medinah — the 2012 Ryder Cup where Europe's extraordinary Sunday comeback from 10-6 down is one of the most astonishing results in golf history. The course's demanding tree-lined corridors and Lake Kadijah create a test of championship quality.
