TPC Colorado
History
TPC Colorado is Colorado's first ground-up golf course development in nearly a decade and the only TPC course in the state, designed by Arthur Schaupeter Golf Course Architects and opened in 2018 within the 865-acre Heron Lakes community in Berthoud — roughly halfway between Denver and Fort Collins. The course was conceived as a mountain community showcase blending dramatic natural scenery with championship-caliber design, situated alongside the Little Thompson River and nestled near Lonetree, McNeil, and Welch Reservoirs with panoramic Rocky Mountain views. From the championship tees the course stretches to a remarkable 7,991 yards — one of the longest in the TPC Network — playing at elevation, which significantly affects ball flight. TPC Colorado hosted the Korn Ferry Tour's TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes from 2019 through 2022, providing a platform for touring professionals just a step below the main PGA Tour. The course offers both a limited number of public starting times and private memberships within the Heron Lakes residential community.
