TPC San Antonio (AT&T Oaks Course)
History
The AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio was designed by Greg Norman in consultation with PGA Tour star Sergio García and opened in January 2010 as the primary championship layout of TPC San Antonio, a joint development with the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa. Norman crafted a dramatic par-72, 7,435-yard layout that traverses the Texas Hill Country with live oak corridors, aggressive bunker complexes, and strategic water features woven through the rolling terrain. The course's name honors the hundreds of mature live oak trees that define the playing corridors and provide the character of a classic parkland layout within a Texas resort setting. The AT&T Oaks Course has served as the permanent host of the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open since 2010, replacing La Cantera Resort's Palmer Course. The course's dramatic closing stretch — particularly the demanding 18th hole — has produced memorable tournament finishes.
