History
Baltusrol Golf Club's Lower Course, A.W. Tillinghast's redesign completed in 1922 on the slopes of Baltusrol Mountain in New Jersey, is one of America's most reliable major championship venues. Jack Nicklaus broke U.S. Open scoring records here twice in 1967 and 1980, and the Lower Course has hosted seven U.S. Opens plus the 2016 PGA Championship. The iconic 17th par-3 over water, where Nicklaus hit a one-iron to 22 inches, is one of the great moments in major championship history.
Signature Hole
