History
Muirfield Village Golf Club was Jack Nicklaus's personal tribute to Muirfield in Scotland, built in 1974 in Columbus, Ohio with co-designer Desmond Muirhead. Nicklaus created it as a player's course designed specifically for the Memorial Tournament, which he founded and continues to host annually. The course demands precision at every turn, with water hazards, steep bunkers, and small contoured greens punishing imprecision. It has hosted the Ryder Cup twice and the Presidents Cup, cementing its status as one of the premier tour venues in America.
