History
The Camargo Club in Cincinnati's Indian Hill suburb is one of Seth Raynor's finest works, built in 1921 on gently rolling terrain with characteristic precision and strategic sophistication. Raynor's mastery of template holes is on full display here — Eden, Short, Road Hole, Biarritz, and Cape variants appear in excellent form. Charles Banks completed minor revisions after Raynor's premature death. The course's modest yardage disguises its difficulty, as Raynor's angled greens, false fronts, and strategically placed bunkers demand precise course management. Consistently ranked in the top 25 of classic American courses.
