TPC Wisconsin
History
TPC Wisconsin is the newest club in the TPC Network, becoming the 30th TPC Network golf club when it reopened in August 2023 following a comprehensive $25 million renovation of what had been Cherokee Country Club, founded in 1962 on 154 acres adjacent to Madison's 5,000-acre Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park. Owner Dennis Tiziani and his son-in-law, Madison native and PGA Tour Champions star Steve Stricker, partnered with PGA Tour Design Services (led by architect Stephen Wenzloff) to transform the property into a tournament-ready venue. The renovation involved removing 600–650 trees, dredging 30 acres of wetlands, and lifting the entire property two to four feet for improved drainage. The redesigned par-71, 7,266-yard course showcases dramatically reshaped bunkers, redesigned greens complexes, and improved sight lines while celebrating the natural Cherokee Marsh environment. TPC Wisconsin hosted the American Family Insurance Championship on the PGA Tour Champions in 2025 for the first time.
