TPC Boston
History
TPC Boston debuted in 2002 as an Arnold Palmer–designed championship layout set into the natural New England landscape of Norton, Massachusetts, approximately 34 miles southwest of downtown Boston. The original design was crafted to fit harmoniously among hardwood forests, wetlands, and gently rolling terrain. Named by Golf Digest among the 'Top 10 Best New Private Clubs in the U.S.' upon opening, the course gained prominence as the host of the Deutsche Bank Championship, a FedExCup Playoff event. In 2007 the course underwent a significant redesign by Gil Hanse — acclaimed for later designing the 2016 Olympic Golf Course — in consultation with PGA Tour player Brad Faxon, resulting in a more dramatic and visually distinct layout. The remodeled course retains Arnold Palmer's parkland sensibility while incorporating more strategic bunkering and green complexes. The par-71, 7,261-yard layout remains one of New England's premier private golf clubs.
