History
Old Sandwich Golf Club in Plymouth, Massachusetts, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened in 2004 on the Manomet peninsula, is one of their finest East Coast works. The architects found an extraordinary site of pine forest, sandy terrain, and Cape Cod glacial features, routing the course with characteristic naturalness through a landscape rewarding restraint and precision. The par-70 layout demands precise iron play to small contoured greens built to play firm and fast. It entered Golf Digest's Top 100 on its debut and has remained there since.
Signature Hole
10th hole, par 4, 426 yards — a long hole through pine corridors with a demanding approach to a small well-defended Coore-Crenshaw green
