TPC Prestancia (Players Course)
History
TPC Prestancia's Players Course is the companion 18-hole layout to the Stadium Course, both developed by the PGA Tour in 1985 within the Palmer Ranch community in Sarasota, Florida. This course was designed by Robert von Hagge in consultation with Australian PGA Tour star and fellow designer Bruce Devlin, offering a distinct strategic personality from Ron Garl's Stadium Course nearby. Von Hagge and Devlin's layout presents a slightly more forgiving but still technically demanding test, with creative bunkering, water hazards, and the lush tropical Florida landscape integrated throughout. The Players Course provides TPC Prestancia members with a second championship option and additional variety within the same private club campus. Both courses at Prestancia were sold to Heritage Golf Group in 2007 but continue to operate under the TPC Network brand, offering 36 total holes of award-winning championship golf in one of Florida's most desirable communities.
