TPC Prestancia (Stadium Course)
History
TPC Prestancia's Stadium Course was created by the PGA Tour in 1985, designed by Florida-based architect Ron Garl with PGA Tour veteran Mike Souchak as consultant, and located within the Palmer Ranch community in Sarasota. Garl designed the course to reward precision and shot-making over power, featuring undulating greens that rise and fall dramatically as players approach the 9th and 18th holes — signature holes of the design. The par-72, 6,941-yard Stadium Course was built as a tournament-ready layout with spectator mounding and excellent sight lines. It hosted the Chrysler Cup (1987–1994) and the American Express Invitational (1996–2000), two significant events on the Senior PGA Tour (now PGA Tour Champions). TPC Prestancia was sold to Heritage Golf Group in 2007 but retains TPC branding and Network membership. The club offers 36 holes of golf — the Stadium and Players Courses — providing members with two distinct championship experiences in the heart of Sarasota.
Signature Hole
