TPC Sawgrass (Dye's Valley Course)
History
Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass was opened in 1987 as a companion layout to the famous Stadium Course, designed by Pete Dye with consulting input from Jerry Pate and Bobby Weed. Built on the same sprawling campus as the Stadium Course adjacent to PGA Tour headquarters, the Valley Course was conceived as a more accessible but still challenging championship test, threading through native Florida landscape including wetlands, oak hammocks, and natural water features. It has served as a qualifier and host for numerous Korn Ferry Tour events, most notably the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament (Q-School) Final Stage each fall. The layout features classic Dye elements — railroad ties, strategic bunkering, and water hazards — but with slightly wider fairways and more forgiving rough than its neighbor. The course has been used as a complementary venue for tournament week hospitality and PGA Tour staff events.
