Streamsong Resort (Red Course)

History

Streamsong Red, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw's 2012 course on a reclaimed phosphate mining site in central Florida, is one of the most remarkable transformations of industrial land in golf history. The mined terrain left behind a surreal sandscape of dramatic ridges, deep craters, and sandy waste areas that the architects converted into a links-like experience in the Florida interior. Wide fairways, massive natural bunkers, and rolling terrain create a course defying the region's flat-and-wet stereotype. Consistently rated Florida's top resort course.
