History

Shadow Creek is one of the most audacious course construction projects in golf history — a lush tree-lined oasis built in the Nevada desert at staggering expense by MGM Grand for Steve Wynn. Tom Fazio moved millions of cubic yards of earth, planted tens of thousands of mature trees, and created a verdant forest entirely divorced from the surrounding Las Vegas suburb. The result is a course of extraordinary beauty and strategic challenge, with a peaceful creek and waterfalls threading through the fairways. Long restricted to casino high-rollers, it hosted The Match in 2020 drawing massive global audiences during the COVID pandemic.
