History

Wade Hampton Golf Club, Tom Fazio's 1987 mountain creation in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina near Cashiers, is often cited as the most beautiful course Fazio ever designed. Set at 3,600 feet elevation in the Nantahala National Forest, the course weaves through meadows and hardwood forests toward the dramatic backdrop of Whiteside Mountain. Its lush cool-season turf is immaculate year-round, and views of surrounding peaks create a sense of peaceful grandeur. Wade Hampton has been a regular fixture in the top 30 of American rankings for over three decades.
