History

Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Robert Trent Jones Sr.'s 1966 creation in the Pebble Beach Del Monte Forest, begins with five ocean-view holes on the coastal edge before plunging into the dramatic cypress and pine forest for its remaining 13 holes. Named after Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Spyglass is widely considered the most consistently difficult course on the Pebble Beach resort, combining ocean exposure with demanding woodland precision. It is one of the three rotation courses for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and regularly challenges tour professionals.
