History

Oak Hill Country Club's East Course in Pittsford, New York, one of Donald Ross's greatest parkland designs from 1926, has hosted more major championships than almost any American course. Ross used the area's glacial drumlins and ancient tree canopy to create a course of exceptional difficulty. Andrew Green's 2020 renovation sensitively updated the East Course while recovering original Ross character. Brooks Koepka's 2023 PGA Championship victory here, holding off a final-day charge from Viktor Hovland, was one of the most dramatic major finishes of the decade.

Signature Hole

7th hole, par 4, 461 yards — a long demanding par-4 through the Rochester elms that has seen countless major championships decided
