History

Bandon Trails, the third course at Bandon Dunes Resort designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened in 2005, is different from its siblings — carved through native heathland rather than along the Pacific coast. Traversing a mix of forest, meadow, and open heath, Trails feels like a Scottish heathland classic transplanted to Oregon. Its flowing fairways, dune-grass rough, and ground-hugging design philosophy create a course rewarding creative low runners and bump-and-run approaches. It has achieved independent rankings acclaim, appearing consistently among the five best resort courses in America.

Signature Hole

17th hole, par 3, 213 yards — a wind-exposed par-3 in the open heath with a sweeping view of the Pacific coastline
