History

Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, Westchester County, was designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1918 and is considered one of his finest works — often overshadowed by Winged Foot next door but admired by architects as possibly his greatest achievement at a private club. The course's bold cross-hazard bunkering, natural terrain routing, and wonderfully varied holes form a complete test demanding full use of every club. Quaker Ridge hosted the Walker Cup in 1997 and the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2019, introducing a new generation to its timeless qualities.
