History

Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, originally designed by George Cobb and significantly renovated by Tom Fazio in 2003, hosted the 2017 PGA Championship won by Justin Thomas. The course's demanding back nine — particularly the Green Mile of holes 16, 17, and 18 — has become one of the most feared stretches on the PGA Tour through the Wells Fargo Championship. The 18th hole, a long par-4 over a creek, is routinely cited as the most difficult finishing hole on tour. The 2022 Presidents Cup brought further international attention to a venue establishing itself as a top-tier championship test.

Signature Hole

18th hole 'Green Mile', par 4, 500 yards — a long punishing dogleg over a creek rated among the PGA Tour's hardest finishing holes
