History
Ohoopee Match Club, designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner and opened in 2018 in the rural Georgia sandhill country, emerged almost instantly as one of the most celebrated courses built in the 21st century. Hanse found an extraordinary site of pure sand like a Georgia version of the Nebraska Sandhills, working it with minimalist precision to find 18 holes of exceptional quality in the naturally rippling terrain. The club's name reflects its principal commitment to match play golf. Ohoopee made Golf Digest's Top 100 within two years of opening and has continued to climb, recognized as among the top ten courses built since 2000.
